Welcome to the BASF celebration of 100 Years of the Master Builders brand
1950sIn the 1950s, Master Builders brand products were being used in prestressed concrete elements, helping to color the world of construction by allowing more expansive bridges, underground tunnels and dams.
Master Builders was once again challenged to develop the technologies that would support the emerging consumerism. With the introduction of epoxy grouts - Celicote and Masterflow 648® - Master Builders responded with a material that could stabilize and support heavy equipment used to fuel the growing economy. With the growing use of prestressed concrete, Pozzolith® admixture took on a new role in the 1950s. Used to produce beams, floors and bridges, prestressed concrete allowed for a longer span, increased usable space, and an advanced method for producing high-strength concrete. Because of its usability, prestressed concrete was a popular material used in the post-war infrastructure boom. Learn more about these Master Builders brand products developed in the 1950s: |
