Sales Development Program
The Sales Development Program was created by BASF Construction Chemicals to train and develop new employees entering the field sales force. The emphasis of this program is to effectively orient and instruct new field sales employees for the challenges associated with concrete admixture technology.
Program participants spend the first part of their training in the Technical Center located in Cleveland, Ohio where they will become ingrained in the corporate culture and study testing and mixture proportioning methods integral to success in the field. Upon completion, participants will enter the field sales force and be relocated to a predetermined sales division with the opportunity to work with experienced sales people for the duration of the program.
The program structure consists of seven modules and includes topics such as:

Product knowledge and testing methods

Industry and competitor information

Sales skills

Building customer relationships

Equipment installation and maintenance
Ideal program participants possess the following qualifications:

Bachelors degree or technical certificate in engineering, construction management or related field

Demonstrated interest in the concrete industry

Sales experience and aptitude

Aptitude in electrical and mechanical concepts

Strong communication skills

Proficiency in computer skills

Exceptional organizational skills
