Plasticizing admixtures
, such as Rheomix® 750 admixture, are for use in no-slump concrete fabrication processes and are formulated to improve the manufacturing efficiency of non-plastic concrete products. Polycarboxylate based plasticizers maximize production efficiency through cement dispersion and reactive lubricant mechanisms.

Plasticizing and water-repellent admixtures
like Rheomix® 825 admixture are formulated for cost-efficient and aesthetically pleasing manufacture of concrete block, SRWs, paving stones and roofing tile. The technology results in improved material flow, compaction and extrusion characteristics, and maximizes production rates of dry-cast concrete products.

Water-repellent and efflorescence control admixtures
significantly reduce the rate at which water is absorbed into the concrete masonry unit (CMU), limiting the transport of naturally occuring salts in the CMU to the surface and thus, reducing efflorescence. BASF has developed Rheopel® Plus admixture, a significant breakthrough in WR/EC admixture technology. This unique formula is based on a chemistry that offers superior water repellency and significantly reduces secondary efflorescence, enabling superior concrete performance.
