4x4 Concrete™ System 

The American Concrete Pavement Association, in their Surface Transportation publication, 4th Qtr, 2006, estimated that road user delays totaled over 3.7 billion hours resulting in 2.3 billion gallons (87.1 billion L) of wasted fuel.

The 4x4 concrete system from BASF Construction Chemicals facilitates the rapid repair of roads and highways by achieving strength requirements in four hours or less. This minimizes lane closure time, allowing for relief of traffic congestion and more efficient use of gasoline.

How it works

• The 4x4 Concrete system is a combination of special BASF admixtures and other concrete-making materials produced and placed using specific procedures

• The system achieves a high level of strength (400 psi flexural strength) within four hours of placement, while remaining easy to place
